Additional Plugin Settings
The Source-Nexus Review plugin comes with two additional settings you can enable.
Send Talkback To Nexus Broadcast
As mentioned in other sections, the main benefit of using Source-Nexus Review with the Source-Nexus web broadcaster is that it has a separate audio input for the web. Other web conferencing applications such as Google Meet, or desktop applications such as Zoom and GoToMeeting, only have one input device available.
If you will be using one of these instead, enable the Send Talkback To Nexus Broadcast setting in order to send the Mix and your Talkback microphone together to the third-party application. You can still make use of the dim and mute features to compensate as much as possible.
Mix Channel Fader
You might have already noticed that the Mix channel does not have a volume fader by default. The reason why the slider is off by default is because the Mix channel is the actual final audio that will be sent out to other systems; regulating the volume will affect the output that is sent out.
When you enable the fader, you will see it defaults to “-Inf.” Make sure you return the fader to 0 or to bypass the plugin before you render the audio or bounce it to other tracks.
Save Current Settings as Defaults
As of Source-Nexus Suite 1.4.2, you can save the send talkback and mix channel configurations as default configurations for any news instances of the plugin. You can always restore it to the default ones using “Reset Defaults”.
