Using the Mute/Dim functions
Using the channel-specific Dim function will reduce the volume output of the channel you have selected by the amount you have configured with your fader - this will be displayed in the decibel meter indicator.
If you choose the global dimming function without modifying any of the individual dim sliders, the volume output of all your channels except for the Talkback microphone will be reduced by 15dB instead. If you wish to enable or disable the key command, right click over the global Dim function.
You can also assign a new key command for the DIM function by clicking “Learn New Key Command” and immediately pressing a new key. You will see a message similar to the one below - where we assigned F6 for the DIM function.
Pressing the Mute button on your channels will cut the volume output to minus infinity for the channel you select it for. You will still see signal coming into the specific channel, but it will be grayed out instead.
