  • Quick Start Guides

When you first open Source-Live Pro LL, you will see the following application interface. By default, there will not be any image, we have added it for the purpose of this article:

  1. Broadcast preview: the source you have selected in menu (7) will be displayed in the broadcast preview (an image, input device, screen or window).
  2. Start streaming button: clicking the button will start a new session which users will see via the Gateway (Source-Live or Source-Nexus). Once you click the button, it will change to “STOP STREAMING”.
  3. Streaming timeline: a read-only display of the Source-Live transmission in HH:MM:SS.
  4. CPU usage: a read-only indicator of the total percentage of processing power being used by Source-Live in addition to the frames per second of the transmission. You can change the FPS in the settings menu - the FPS indicator will only change when you start the streaming session.
  5. Viewing-hour usage: the usage of Source-Live viewing hours.
  6. Record to disk: checking the box will keep a local recording of the broadcasting session. While the broadcast is ongoing, the session will be saved in MKV and will be converted into MP4 after the session ends.
  7. Source selection: opening the source selection dropdown will allow you to choose what will be displayed on your Source-Live session (image, input device, screen or window).
  8. Clear All button: clicking the button will clear all application settings and will remove the source you have selected for your broadcast.
  9. Settings button: clicking the button will open the audio settings, video settings and other additional settings.
  10. Go to Gateway button: clicking the button will open up the legacy Source-Live Gateway application, hosted at https://live.source-elements.com/. Keep in mind you can also start a streaming session using the Source-Nexus Gateway.
  11. Decibel meter: a view-only volume meter in decibels. You can control it by lowering/increasing the volume using control (12).
  12. Volume meter: drag the audio volume meter to adjust your audio input.
  13. Mute button: clicking the Mute button will turn on/off your volume during your session.
