Think of routing like buses on a mixer: you want to avoid sending a signal from Source-Nexus A Channel 1 back to itself. Any Source-Nexus I/O channel will be available as an Input and an Output.

If you send a signal to a Source-Nexus I/O Output, you will want to pick that up via Source-Nexus I/O Input somewhere, or vice versa.

See the example workflows listed in the User Guide for ideas and concepts.

There are four very common cases when using Source-Nexus I/O, most commonly when using it together with Source-Connect:

  1. Recording your Talent.
  2. Sending a Mix.
  3. Sending a processed microphone signal.
  4. Sending and receiving through your DAW.

We will explore these scenarios in the following articles.
