Getting Started with Source-Connect Talent 4

Follow the steps outlined below to get started with Source-Connect:

1. Open Source-Connect. Download the application from your Source Elements. Dashboard, install it, and open it from your Applications folder (MacOS) or your Start Panel (Windows). 
2. Log in. In the application home page, enter your Source Elements username and password and click “Login In”. 
3. Configure your audio I/O. Open the Settings from the top right Cog icon. Select your input and output devices. If you have the plug-in instantiated in your DAW you can also select this as your I/O device. For information specific to your DAW, refer to this documentation or contact our support team for assistance. 
4. Configure the parameters for your audio session, including the Send channels and bitrate, and any necessary network details. 
   
5. Close the Settings panel when you are done. 
6. Establish a new session by selecting any online user in your Contacts panel and clicking the green “Connect” button. Once your connection partner accepts, it will take a few seconds to establish the connection. 
   
7. To end the session, when necessary, by clicking the red “Leave” button. This will end your audio session with the remote studio. 
8. Log out. To log out, simply close the application or click your username in the top right-hand corner and explicitly click “Log out”.
