Source-Connect Pro Standalone

Source-Connect Pro Standalone is designed to fully integrate with your digital workstation via external audio I/O, providing the stability and robustness you need for professional results. 

It is highly recommended with working with Pro Tools HD that you avoid using AAX plug-ins to send live audio streams. The recommendation is to route your audio via optical I/O or a similar method. The following PDF describes how to implement this with your Pro Tools setup. It is just one example and the actual method may change depending on your hardware setup.

Integration with Pro Tools/Logic/Nuendo etc 

Since version 3.5, Source-Connect Pro is a fully standalone application. To integrate Source-Connect Pro with your DAW, you will need to physically connect the Audio I/O our use either Source-Nexus I/O or Source-Connect Link. Source-Connect Pro has been purposefully designed to maintain full compatibility with your Digital I/O to operate perfectly with the Q Manager for Auto-Restore and Replace. 

Recording 

To record into Pro Tools, for example, you will connect the Digital I/O from your Mac to your Digi 96/192 and set your Pro Tools HW settings accordingly. You will see that Source-Connect Pro can now send and receive from your Digital I/O in the Settings panel. Further, you could use your Digital I/O to send the output to Pro Tools, but use any other core-audio interface as your Mic input - including the built-in mic on your Mac! 

If you don't require access to the Q Manager Restore and Replace processes, any analog audio connection will also work for you.

Remote Transport Sync 

If you are working with Remote Transport Sync your system will need to correctly lock its output to its received input clock. Some Apple computers are known to incorrectly lock.
