Quick Start Checklist for Source-Nexus Review
This article is a quick guide, which does not include working with both Source-Nexus Review and the Source-Nexus web broadcaster at the same time. If you are looking for those instructions, refer to this article instead.
Keep in mind Source-Nexus Review only supports a stereo master fader and stereo tracks.
- If you haven’t already, make sure to request a Source-Nexus Review full-featured trial the first time you drop the plugin on your DAW. You will be asked to create a new Source Elements account if you do not have one.
- Log into your account here and download Source-Nexus Review.
- Launch your DAW of choice. This quick guide will use Pro Tools as a reference.
- Add a stereo Master Fader track.
- Insert the “Source-Nexus Review (stereo)” plugin on your master fader.
- In the “Talkback mic” section at the top, select the microphone you will be using during your session.
- Immediately after you select it, you will see sound coming into the “To Nexus Chat” channel.
-
Add a stereo music track with the I/O as needed and record music into it.
-
Press “Play” on Pro Tools. The music from the stereo track will be going into the “Mix” and “To Nexus Broadcast” channels. That is because the music is coming from the plugin input (which is the input of the audio track).

Note: When bouncing or rendering audio, it is recommended to bypass the Source-Nexus Review plugin to avoid it interfering with the mix.
