How to configure Source-Connect 4 to receive RTS via LTC and Cubase/Nuendo to receive LTC
This tutorial can be used in all versions of Source-Connect 4 (Source-Connect Talent, Source-Connect Studio and Source-Connect Facility).
Follow the instructions below:
- In Source-Connect, click the “Receive” button - it will turn blue.
- In “TIME REFERENCE OUTPUT”, select “LTC” and “Source-Nexus A” as your device.
- Select the appropriate FPS.
- In Cubase/Nuendo, go to Transport > Project Synchronization settings:
- Under “Sources”:
- Click “Activate External Sync”.
- In “Timecode Source”, click “Internal Timecode”.
- In “Destinations” > “MIDI Timecode Destinations”:
- Click the network driver you had created (in our case, “Network DAW MTC/MMC Send”).
- Check the box next to “MIDI Timecode Follows Project Time”.
- Under “Machine Control”:
- In “Machine Control Output Settings”, check “MMC Master Active”. Under “MIDI Output”, select “Network DAW MTC/MMC Send”.
- Under “Sources”:
- Add “Source-Nexus I/O” as an insert for the track where you have the LTC timecode:
- Connect to your connection partner.
